What's so special about ADAM?
ADAM brings decades of experience to teaching and coaching language students, having helped every one to improve their English communication. As most of our teachers have also learned foreign languages, many as adults, they are able to bring a personal perspective and therefore an empathetic understanding of the issues and frustrations that students face when learning or improving their language skills.
A Collaborative Approach to Language Learning
We believe that language is fundamentally about communication, so our classes encourage students to talk and develop the confidence to make mistakes. We then work on the errors that our individual language learners make, combining interesting topics with a variety of exercises to improve the specific areas that students need.
Our teachers will often use problem-posing approaches to their lessons, whereby they ask questions of the student instead of explaining answers outright. This encourages engagement with difficult topics, which is then reinforced over subsequent sessions.

How do our lessons work?
As in every walk of life, it's vital that we understand our clients' needs before anything else. For that reason, we offer free 30-minute needs analysis and consultancy sessions to all our prospective students. This is also a chance for our clients to experience the approach and techniques that set us apart from other language-tuition providers.
At a time and place agreed to best suit our clients, our one-to-one or small-group tutors use collaborative
internet tools that they access through the iPads which we provide them. These shareable documents mean students and teachers are able to access notes and recorded work at their leisure.
As we plan our courses around the specific needs of our students, our expert teachers can deliver a wide range of skills and exercises to meet the student's goals.
Often in the same lesson, we may teach any or all of the following:
Pronunciation and sentence stress
Are you having trouble making yourself understood in important meetings or presentations? At ADAM, we view pronunciation as the symphony of individual sounds, meaning we help you to communicate better through a variety of exercises that look specifically at your own needs, big and small.
Grammar
While English is a flexible language and people don't mind hearing mistakes, in order to improve, we find that a firm grammatical framework can help many of our students to get to grips with the logic and oddities of the English language. Depending on the needs of our student, this might mean working on tenses, prepositions, articles, comparatives and superlatives, or conditionals, to name a few areas.

Vocabulary and special purposes
The conversational nature of our lessons mean that students are encouraged to discuss their lives and therefore the vocabulary that they need most often. We also help with short written tasks, using the language of students' emails or other texts as a guide to their learning, while helping to improve it.
Discretion and professionalism
Everyone associated with ADAM Executive English is expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of professionalism and decorum at all times. We understand that our clients may divulge sensitive information in the course of their lessons, and our teachers are trained specifically in handling such INFORMATION with the utmost discretion.
All our staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks to ensure they are suitable representatives of ADAM Executive English. In case complaints are made against any member of the ADAM team, we have strict procedures to follow, which can be accessed HERE (LINK).

ADAM Executive English offers a selection of packages for one-on-one English language tuition to suit the individual needs of our students. Below we detail our three main lesson packs, based on the prior purchase of at least 10 hours of lessons. The Gold Package

As you are dropping the kids off at school one morning, another parent asks if you’re coming to the sports day tomorrow. Your jaw drops as you remember that you’re supposed to be having a lesson tomorrow with your ADAM private tutor, and you haven’t even looked at your homework yet.
The Silver Package
You smile to yourself, remembering that this is why you booked your lessons through our Silver Package. A simple message to your tutor and it’s all sorted – no extra costs or hassles, leaving you free to see your little one cross the finish line first.
The Green Package
With our Green Package, you get all the benefits of ADAM’s high-quality private tuition – our outstanding teachers still give you personalised training delivered at a time and place that work for you. We still plan and delivered bespoke courses tailored to your needs, and we still allow you the freedom to rearrange your sessions around your busy life. The only difference is that all cancellations or amendments to your course have to be made five working days in advance. If you have a predictable schedule, this option is for you.
